Bruin Learn / Canvas underwent scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. With this change, the “Add a New Section” field is relocated above the list of sections in the Sections tab of the course settings. Previously, new sections were added at the bottom of the list. Relocating the Add a New Section field enhances its accessibility in courses with numerous sections. Adding the course, term, and section dates enables instructors and admins to quickly view all important dates related to a course while manually creating sections, which is often done for extending course access to students after a term.
