Bruin Learn / Canvas SIS Integration underwent scheduled enhancement on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. With this change, a new service will identify whenever an enrollment fails to provision in Bruin Learn because the user (identified in SIS by their UID) does not yet have an affiliated UCLA Logon ID, and then track that failed enrollment in a new AWS DynamoDB table. An associated service will then repeatedly attempt to re-enroll the users in this table on a set schedule. Now, new affiliates who create their UCLA Logon IDs long after their official enrollments have been input in SIS will be enrolled as expected in Bruin Learn soon after UCLA Logon ID creation. In the previous state, such enrollments must be added by manually pushing a full course enrollment sync, often in response to a support ticket.
