Bruin Learn / Canvas Scheduled Enhancement will undergo scheduled enhancement on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The ITS Student Distributed Technologies / Bruin Learn CoE application development team oversees 111 AWS Lambda functions. These functions facilitate custom integrations between the Bruin Learn platform and campus systems like the Enterprise Directory, Student Information System, and MyUCLA web portal. As of June 12, 2024, AWS will cease providing security patches and updates for the Node.js 16 runtime, which is currently used by these Lambdas. Consequently, functions utilizing Node.js 16 will no longer receive technical support. AWS recommends upgrading all Lambda functions to Node.js runtime version 20, the current LTS version, by June 12, 2024.
