Kaltura Quick Recorder, also known as Express Capture, is cutting off videos early when the stop button is pressed. Recordings are being cut off by an average of 2 to 4 seconds. This issue has a bigger impact on shorter recordings made in rapid succession. Students and faculty who are recording at a slower pace might not notice this problem, as they tend to leave more time at the end of a video.
The current workaround is to provide directions in an assignment prompt to allow for a few seconds of silence before pressing the stop button. Kaltura has announced that they will provide an update on this issue as soon as possible.
