Dear Instructors,
We are writing to let you know about the recent Bruin Post announcement regarding iClicker. This message is being sent to you as you are someone who is currently using iClicker Cloud or has used it within the past year.
Starting June 20, 2023, instructors and students will be able to use the web-based and mobile versions of iClicker Cloud, an interactive polling tool used widely across UCLA, at no cost. Previously, students had to either purchase a physical iClicker remote or a buy a subscription to use the iClicker with their own device (laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.).
Please take note of the important information below if you plan to use iClicker.
Logging in using your account and using your UCLA Credentials
On Tuesday June 20, 2023, faculty and students will be able to access their iClicker account by signing in with their UCLA username and password. For more information about signing into iClicker using SSO (Single Sign-On), review the following help guides:

What about Wi-Fi stability?
It is recommended to connect to the eduroam network. When signing into eduroam, use your UCLA Logon ID with @ucla.edu appended to it as your username (UCLALogonID@ucla.edu) and your usual UCLA Logon password. If you encounter any issues connecting to eduroam, please refer to the troubleshooting tips in the following article:
Can I still use physical remotes?
It's important to note that UCLA will be discouraging the use of physical remotes for several reasons:
- The iClicker Mobile Student App and Web App options provide more versatile question types than just multiple choice.
- Purchasing the physical device can be a financial burden for many students.
